King Kong (2005)

Score: 7/10

Peter Jackson’s adaptation of King Kong is big, colossal, and extra-ordinary, although I feel it’s a bit too long. This is a combination of Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young, Bats, and a little bit of Titanic. Unfortunately, this movie did not leave any impression after I left the cinema. Although Mr. Jackson has managed to do a great job, in my opinion the story itself prevents this movie to become great. Love of a gigantic gorilla to a beautiful lady is indeed a difficult plot to develop. There should not be any sequel again in the future.

It is a good movie for sure, the animation is exceedingly awesome (I bet Lord of the Rings brought tons of experiences for Mr. Jackson). The cast and acting are wonderful. However, it lacks the drama. I just could not believe that something like this can happen.
